Singing star Ciara took a tactic that more and more celebrities are taking and announced that she and her fiance are expecting their first child together live on the television talk show "The View." Ciara is engaged to rap singer Future and wouldn't disclose the sex of the baby although she said that her fiance is very happy.

It has been a whirlwind romance between Ciara and Future. The two have been dating for only just over a year. Ciara, who had been linked romantically to another rapper, Bow Wow, started sporting 15 carat diamond ring to go along with her future husbands first initial tattooed to her ring finger. She announced that she was pregnant just over three months after their engagement.

Ciara has been a player in the music industry ever since she burst onto the scene in 2004 with her first studio album in 2004 at the age of 19. She has since hit the Billboard charts with hits such as "Can't Leave Em Alone", "Promises", "Go Girl", "Body Party" and "Never Ever." She has also dipped her toes in the acting pool by starring alongside Adam Sandler and Andy Sandberg in "That's My Boy."

Ciara is very happy with the new fashion trends she'll be able to start with maternity wear and says that she is very excited to start a new chapter in her life.
