[/caption]Oscar winning actress Anne Hathaway has had a remarkable string of movie success in the last few years. However, you just have to wonder if she regrets jumping ship on the Silver Linings Playbook project?

Hathaway was the first choice and was pursued by movie mogul Harvey Weinstein to play the lead role in the Silver Linings Playbook. Originally, Hathaway was cast to star with Mark Wahlberg in this tale of a quirky somewhat unstable widow and a man who suffers from bipolar disorder and is still preoccupied with his ex-wife. The two star crossed but dysfunctional lovers eventually find a way to get through their issues and find each other.

The lead female role seemed perfect for Hathaway. She was to play a troubled yet likable character whose vulnerability and honesty would leave you rooting for her to succeed. However, citing creative differences with Director David O. Russell she withdrew from the project. It also appears that some of the reasons for Hathaway's departure may have been a scheduling conflict with her role in the Batman project.

The leading role went to Jennifer Lawrence, who won an Oscar for Best Actress for her role in this film.
