Actors George Clooney and Sandra Bullock have been friends for 30 years. Their friendship is so strong, even a practical joke that Clooney pulled on Bullock at a dinner party couldn't cause a rift. Bullock recently explained to talk show host Jay Leno how Clooney managed to get a fully-dressed Bullock to jump into a swimming pool.

After a visit to the ladies room, Bullock returned to see Clooney and another guest discussing plans to jump into the pool. Bullock eagerly agreed to join in.

Bullock, Clooney and the other guest held hands and agreed to count to three before making their big plunge. Bullock says she was encouraged to see fellow actress Nicole Kidman standing ready with towels for them to dry off. But after reaching the count of three, Clooney and the third jumper released hands just as Bullock jumped fully clothed into the water.

Bullock says she regrets that the very expensive lace frock she had purchased for the party suffered immediate damage after being fully immersed in chlorinated swimming pool water and started to shred into pieces after she climbed out. Bullock also reports she and Clooney haven't dated because their personalities are too similar.
