“Sullivan & Son” star Ahmed Ahmed arrested

According to a report leaked by TMZ, Ahmed Ahmed, who stars in the popular TBS sitcom "Sullivan And Son", has been arrested on charges of domestic violence.
A quote from the report that was posted on TMZ's site reads in part: "Law enforcement sources tell us ... cops responded to a caller who claimed people were fighting inside of a home."
When police were summoned to the scene, they apparently found Ahmed and an unidentified female, which they believed to be his girlfriend, alone together. According to the police report that was filed, the woman had visible marks on her body. Ahmed was immediately arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Other charges may yet follow as investigation into the case proceeds.
The comic was taken to jail, where he was booked on felony charges. A short while later, he was released on $50,000 bail. The woman apparently did not require medical treatment for the injuries she received.
The arrest could be a potential setback for Ahmed Ahmed, who has had a well developed career on the comedy circuit. He has also appeared in films such as "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" before signing on for TBS's "Sullivan And Son".
