Justice Declared in Jet Ski Death of Usher’s Stepson

Hall County, Georgia - Justice has been served in the death of little 11-year-old Kile Glover, former stepson to rap star Usher. The 11-year-old was enjoying a summer outing on Lake Lanier, Georgia, aboard his inflatable raft when an adult man aboard a jet ski crashed into the boy leaving him brain dead. He died fifteen days after the incident back which occurred in July 2012.

Jeffery Hubbard, the man responsible for the boy's death, was charged with serious injury by a vessel, boat traffic violations, unlawful operation of a personal watercraft, reckless operation of a vessel, and homicide by a vessel. As is typical in most cases, the prosecution offers a plea bargain based on the strength of the case they believe they have put together. Hubbard chose to go to trial which would indicate that whatever plea bargain he was offered included prison time. His choice to put his life in the hands of a jury failed as he was found guilty on all five counts. He will now likely face more prison time as a result. Upon hearing the verdict, Hubbard was taken into police custody ahead of his March 5 sentencing hearing. The jury only took a matter of hours to render their decision.
