Lisa Kudrow court bound to face former manager
Actress Lisa Kudrow Takes the Stand as a Defendant in Law Suit
Los Angeles, California - Actress Lisa Kudrow faced off against her former manager and current plaintiff in a $1.7 million lawsuit he has brought against her for what he terms are unpaid fees. Apparently, what Scott Howard wants is a piece of the ongoing residual income she earns from popular TV sitcom "Friends" which ran from 1994 through 2004. The series can still be seen on the Cartoon Network and TBS channel and earns the cast an ongoing stream of income.
At issue is whether Kudrow agreed to pay her former manager a cut of her income from the show's syndication. According to Kurdrow, she agreed to pay him fees only for the first round of syndication and he claims it was to be ongoing. There was no written contract between the two. Howard stopped working for Kudrow in 2007.
During her testimony, she revealed that when she first starred on the show she earned $13,500 per episode. However, the show grew in popularity and the cast renegotiated their salaries collectively so that eventually they each earned $1.04 million per episode. She recently co-starred in the 2011 box office hit "Easy A" alongside Emma Stone and in an episode of the popular ABC drama "Scandal".
