[/caption]Martha Stewart, who at age 72 still looks ravishing, has had a rough ride in the years following her prison sentence in 2004 for insider trading. While in jail, her enterprise called Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) better than doubled in value to $1 billion as public sympathy swung in her favor. However, it has become clear that insider trading wasn't her real problem, it's her own hubris. It may be that there is some actual truth to the image of a manic woman as portrayed by actress Cybil Shepherd in the Lifetime Movie "Martha, Inc.: The Story of Martha Stewart".
Regardless, it is estimated that her net worth is $686 million which would indicate that her financial comeback has exceeded her expectations. She had to step down from operating her own company MSLO during her time in prison. In 2011, after a 6-year quest, she was able to rejoin the board of directors for MSLO. Since 2012, she's served as the chairman of the board. In the end, it appears that Martha Stewart gets what Martha Stewart wants. As for her enterprise, it is struggling financially with losses of $166 million as of 2013.
