Newly-single Miranda Kerr admits to liking women

Following her breakup with Orlando Bloom, supermodel Miranda Kerr says she is open to the possibilities of the fairer sex. In an interview with British GQ, Kerr said "I love the female body and truly appreciate the female form." She says that while she is naturally drawn to men, she is interesting in exploring and doesn't want to rule women out. This news is sure to excite the minds of men and the hopes of lesbians everywhere.

Kerr and Bloom were together for six years and married for three before their amicable split in October 2013. The attractive pair share a son, Flynn, and remain dedicated to working together in raising him. Post-split, Kerr has been open about dating, in contrast to the tight-lipped Bloom despite speculation about romance with French actress Nora Arnezeder. Kerr says she is having fun being single and is enjoying dating, though she is not interested in one-night stands.

The titillating news of Kerr's possible bisexuality - especially combined with the racy photoshoot - is likely to sell magazines and keep the Australian model's name buzzing. Whether we will actually see Kerr with a lady love seems less likely, especially given her statement, "I definitely need a man in the bedroom."

Miranda Kerr is only the latest in a long string of female celebrities admitting to some kind of attraction to women, from active bisexuality to simple appreciation of the female form. Kerr and those before her - like Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, and Amber Heard - are helping open communication about the fluidity of sexuality. Whether Kerr acts on her potential feelins for women or not, her admission certainly makes her more interesting.
