Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly is thrilling audiences once more in her co-starring role in the film “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug”. Thus far, the film has grossed $756 million on a budget of $225 million. In the film, the former star of the popular TV series “Lost” once again shines as a beautiful heroine that mixes the “girl next door” look with an indomitable spirit.

However, she admits that she made one big condition to screen writers when she accepted the role of the elven chief of security known as Tauriel: no love triangle. The romance dynamic between her and two of the leading men in the Lost series is something she was not willing to repeat. Speaking in an interview with Access Hollywood, Lilly explained that the producers asked her to take part in reshooting some scenes for the film. Before she knew it, new scenes were added and a love-triangle was inserted into the script. At that point, there wasn’t much she could do, but put her heart into the effort. In her interview, she goes over the pluses and minuses of her character’s two loves: the dwarf Killi and the royal elf Legolas.
