Who Wouldn’t Want to Share the Stage With Adele

While Adele was onstage accepting her 2013 Grammy award for Best Pop Solo Performance, an alleged Ukrainian journalist attempted to upstage her by crashing the stage and attempting to steal her spotlight. That is almost laughable, upstaging Adele? Why do some people, whether it be paparazzi, journalists or an every day Joe feel that we have a right to get in the personal space of a celebrity, especially when they are on their way, or at a public event in which they are being honored.

Not only Vitalii Sediuk pester Adele, he also pestered Will Smith, during the Moscow Premier of Men in Black 3, in 2011. During that event, he went so far as to smooth Will Smith on the cheek, will awarded him a shove and a slap from Will.

So the so-called reporter was jailed for the incident with Adele, does that mean he will truly become a professional and keep his distance and report the facts or will he continue to seek his of fame and drama and the fright and expense of true celebrities?

Sediuk told the Hollywood Reporter how he managed to sneak in. “I’m a reporter,” he asserted. “It was part of my report.” He explained that his channel was not credentialed, so he went in with friends who had tickets. “They didn’t check how many we had, so I was let in.”

He then went to the media line and interviewed several celebrities (including Lopez). After that, he “followed one girl in a green dress”–who turned out to be Katy Perry!–“through the gates. They checked my pockets but never asked to see a ticket.”

Sediuk added that his idea to stage-crash was a last-minute decision, based pretty much solely on the fact that Adele is his favorite singer. “When I heard her name, I came up with this idea to go up on the stage,” he noted.

Despite flagrantly violating security–a potentially dangerous situation–Sediuk insisted to the Hollywood Reporter that he never meant any ill will. “My purpose is to entertain and to show a different emotion of celebrities,” he explained. “I’m not a crazy guy. I just think differently.”
