Leaving Disney allows Miley Cyrus to be Herself

Controversial pop star Miley Cyrus has opened up about the change in career direction the end of her Disney contract allowed her to follow. After ending her contract with the House of Mouse, Cyrus spent 2013 as one of the most controversial celebrities in the world through her provocative dancing and sexually suggestive music videos as she finally revealed her own personality free from the constraints of her former employers.

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Cyrus discussed how her acting and singing career with Disney did not allow her to represent herself in either her music or acting choices. In 2013 Cyrus signed with RCA Records and took a new, often clothes free direction in her life and career. Amongst the controversial statements made by Cyrus over the course of the year were those that admitted her own drug use.

In the New York Times interview the former Hannah Montana star reveals she is now seen as a young woman with a party lifestyle, which is thought to include the drugs MDMA and cocaine. With former Disney star Joe Jonas recently claiming his own drug problems began with his introduction to marijuana by Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, Cyrus struck back stating two girls from the Disney empire could not make anybody do anything they did not want to.
