Lil Wayne’s Ex-Wife Arrested in Georgia

Antonia ‘Toya’ Wright, the former wife of rap star Lil Wayne, has been arrested in Georgia for outstanding parking tickets. Nowadays, police have technology that reads a person’s license plate and searches for outstanding warrants. In the case of Mrs. Wright, her parking tickets came up as unpaid and she was taken into police custody. The arrest occurred at a routine road block where police were checking out each vehicle.

Thankfully, she has friends who were able to get her out of the hoosegow. Wayne’s manager Corey Blackwell has stated that the whole incident is a misunderstanding. He stated the parking tickets were settled years ago, but apparently there was a goof up in the county records office. Blackwell says that he has lawyers looking into getting the matter cleared up pronto.

Wayne and Wright were high school sweethearts that married in 2004. Their one child together, a girl named Reginae, was actually born in 1997 when Wayne was only 15 years old. The marriage did not last long though. The couple divorced two years after they married. Since that time, Wayne has fathered three other children from three different women. Wayne says that his rap music was heavily inspired by the rock group Nirvana.
