On Thursday night while performing in Corpus Christi, Texas, 30 year old American Idol star Carrie Underwood tripped in her 5 inch heels. She was wearing a long white shirt and the heels got caught in the back of the shirt, causing her to fall backwards. She fell on her buttocks and unfortunately hurt her left foot enough to need a cast.

She showed amazing grace and kept singing and limping along through the pain. She also still plans to complete her tour despite this event. She has two more performances in the upcoming week.

She tweeted jokes about her accident and pictures of her manicured toes in the cast. She asked the world if it was bad if she could not move her toes and made light of her accident by asking who the girl in Corpus Christi was who busted her butt on stage. She also joked that at least she wasn't drunk on stage, because that would have been even more disastrous because she's already uncoordinated! Thankfully her fans were very supportive and wish her a speedy recovery. She has received many tweets from these fans letting her know that they are wishing her the best.
