Simon Cowell was known as the ultimate judge for several seasons of American Idol and is currently doing the same on the X Factor. Briefly, however, the tables were turned on Cowell as a recording surfaced of him singing.

Cowell, 53, has often been the final say for many potential singers for more than ten years in both the U.K. and the U.S. Recently, Cowell was captured on film attempting to sing after being prodded by his fellow judges. An online clip has been available, recorded during the Denver auditions of a contestant performing with an unusual accent.

Judge Demi Lovato said to the contestant that he sounded "like what Simon sounds like" if Cowell were to sing. Kelly Rowland, another judge, asked Cowell to give them a sample. The audience also encouraged him to sing, but the online clip does not feature Cowell's attempt at "Can't Help Falling In Love."

During a recent taping of the Jimmy Kimmel show, the talent judge was asked about his singing. Cowell admitted that the world would hear it during the new season. However, he declined to say more. The clip will be broadcast as part of the X Factor USA's second episode.

He's a sneak peak at Simon's performance!
