Chrome, the popular internet browser launched by google amid commercials of its lightning fast speed, is now able to filter out any and all things Miley Cyrus. No, the multi-billion dollar tech giant isn't targeting the self-centered singer, but rather an extension written by their broad base of third party developers has come up with the novel extension.
Users now exhausted by the Miley's endless news stories about tongue displays, graffiti-like tats, side boobs, and twerking, can create a more pleasant internet experience for themselves. It's not the first time such an extension has been developed. A prior extension called "Chris Brownout" blocked the rap singer from popping up in internet pages for those tired of his endless drama over his probation stemming from his attack of Rihanna several years ago.
This time around, the extension is called "No Cyrus" and will keep the singer away from your computer. For now, the extension only blocks written content but not digital photographs and there is no word if that feature will be forthcoming.
Cyrus made headlines with her overtly sexual performance at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) which she later said was all about her "making history".
Her tiny costume left nothing to the imagination as she performed her first solo, taking every opportunity to stick out her tongue at the audience. But things really got hot and heavy and in questionable taste according to many watching the annual awards show when she performed a duet of “Blurred Lines” with singer Robin Thicke.
This week, the former Hannah Montana star said she will no longer be poking out her tongue.
