Black Friday is slowly becoming a tradition in Canada, with many retailers offering deals and discounts the day after Thanksgiving.

Traditionally an American tradition, Canadian retailers have started to feel the competition over the past few years from their neighboring country, and are now offering similar and sometimes even better deals at Canadian stores in order to keep customers shopping at home rather than crossing the border.

Best Buy stores in Canada are offering a number of deals this Black Friday on everything from computer's to digital cameras. The retailer is offering a 32GB Microsoft Surface RT tablet for $199, and an Asus 15.6” laptop for $599.99.

Canon cameras are discounted for the big day, with the Canon T3i priced at just $499.99, and the Canon T3 at $299.99.

If you have a few gamers o your holiday shopping list this year, Best Buys's in Canada are offering the Nintendo 3DS XL for just $149.99 on Black Friday, as well as several TV's at a discount, including a Phillips 39” HDTV for $279.99, and a Samsung 46” 1080p LED TV for just $499.99.

All of Best Buy's Black friday deals start on November 29, and run through December 1, however, they're also limited to just the stock of a particular product best buy has on hand when the doors open Black friday. That means if you're hoping to score a deal, you should plan to get there as early as possible. Many customers are likely to be at the store's doors when they open ready to shop, with several likely to camp out overnight to ensure they're first in line to grab a deal.
