Go Transit Adds 22 More Wifi Staions In Hamiliton And Other Cities

22 More Stations to Enjoy Go Transit WiFi

TORONTO - On Monday, commuters in the conurbation of Hamilton Area and Greater Metro-Toronto will have one more reason to ride the commuter rail as Go Transit announced 22 additional stations will enjoy free WiFi as of February 2. The effort is part of a continuing rollout of internet access designed to promote productivity and leisure among passengers. The latest stations to have internet access go online are:

As of February 2, Wi-Fi will be available for customer use at the following stations/terminals:

  • Bramalea GO Station
  • Brampton GO Station

President Bruce McCuaig of Metrolinx, the Crown Agency that integrates & manages the transportation and road systems in the GTHA conurbation, said the rollout is all about bringing greater convenience to commuters. He pointed out the expanded internet is designed to give residents a greater incentive to ride Go Transit. Accessing the internet service is simple. Users need to point their WiFi devices at network "Free WiFi at GO" to get connected.
