Sofia Vergara Shows Off New Blonde Hair Colour
Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara has gone back to blonde and posted the result to excited fans on social media. The Instagram shot shows Vergara, 40, in a sexy pose in the front seat of a car with her freshly colored locks on prominent display.
Vergara captioned the photo with “Blond ambitions!! Gracias to the amazing Kelly Klain … I am ready for summer!” Her hair is much lighter from its previous brunette shade and is strikingly bright at the tips. Vergara is a natural blonde.
The Latin actress claimed to Self Magazine back in 2010 that she went darker because she thought it would help her secure more acting roles. She stated she went on auditions and even though she had the proper accent, the blonde hair made it difficult to get parts, as casting directors thought Latin women should be brunettes. Her luck changed when she dyed her hair brown. Vergara felt the darker color toned her personality down.
Aside from Modern Family, Vergara has also appeared on Dancing with the Stars, hosted Saturday Night Live and voiced herself on The Cleveland Show. She also stars in the films Smurfs 2, and Machete Kills, both due out in 2013.
