49ers Linebacker Released on Bail Following DUI arrest
San Jose, CA - Aldon Smith, the 23-year-old outside linebacker and Pro Bowler for the San Francisco 49ers, has been released on a $5,250 bail following his arrest for a DUI and pot possession. He was taken into custody by police after he crashed his vehicle into a tree at approximately 7:00AM PST Friday morning.
At the time of his arrest, his blood alcohol was .15 or 200% of the legal limit in California. It appears that the skillful linebacker has a tendency to act his shoe size rather than his age. He was arrested on a DUI charge in Florida shortly after signing on with San Francisco, but was able to get the charges reduced.
Smith is also being sued by a local man by the name of Ronndale Esporlas who attended a party at Smith's house on June 29, 2012. It is said the party required a $10 admission ticket and spirits were $5 each. While at the party Smith and his teammate Delanie Walker discharged weapons to mark the end of the party. In the men's drunken state, they formed groups to shoot at each other and Esporlas was caught in the middle and got shot twice in the leg.
