“Stone Cold” Takes Verbal Shot at Tony Romo
Legendary pro wrestler, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, has never been afraid to speak his mind on a variety of subjects. He has trash talked with the very best going toe to toe with the likes of Vince McMahon, Mike Tyson, Brock Lesner and Slyvester Stallone. The self professed redneck has taken his act from the wrestling arena to the big screen and now he’s hosting his very own talk show, available in podcast form, called “The Steve Austin Show”.
The latest target of Austin’s brutal truth is Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo. Austin was born and bred just miles from Dallas and was very critical of his hometown team on a recent episode of his podcast. The WWE Hall of Famer took a question from a caller about the prospects of the Cowboys during this upcoming NFL season and Austin was not shy to point a finger at the starting quarterback as the cause of the Cowboys failure to make it deep into the playoffs. Using very colorful language common is his dialogue; he basically said that Romo has failed to be a true leader of the team. He said that the QB clearly has talent and passing accuracy but seems to come up short in the big games.
Austin did hold out hope that Romo can turn things around. He mentioned that he recently read that Romo plans to spend more time in the film room in order to better prepare himself and “Stone Cold” remarked that this is a sign that Romo may have figured things out.
