Cyrus recently had her engagement called off by her former co-star from the film "The Last Song" Liam Hemsworth. The two struck up a real life romance following the film and eventually got engaged. However, Cyrus' attention grabbing antics are largely considered as being responsible for alienating her beau.

Regardless, the human heart feels and Miley Cyrus was perhaps feeling the pain when singing her song "Wrecking Ball" as she broke down in streams of tears on stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. It was just this past week that Hemsworth finally made the breakup official but those close to the couple acknowledge the relationship was dead long before. Hemsworth as it turns out was looking for a more graceful exit and Cyrus' raunchy MTV VMA performance was his exit stage left.

The music festival featured two days of performances from singers such as ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, Robin Thicke, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban, Muse, Adam Lambert, Avril Lavigne, Miguel, Drake, Elton John, J. Cole, and others.
