Alec Baldwin’s Daughter: Dad Is “Far From A Homophobe”

Last Friday, Alec Baldwin physically and verbally lashed out at New York Post photographer Kevin Fasick when Fasick tried to force an on-the-street comment from Baldwin about the conviction of his stalker Genevieve Sabourin. Baldwin was quoted using a slur against Fasick that included a slur against homosexuals.
As a result, MSNBC suspended Baldwin for two weeks from his talk show Up Late.
Although many have come forward to speak out against the actor, his daughter Ireland isn’t among them.
Ireland tweeted that her father has “battled with anger management issues” and she believes he has “grown tremendously” and is “far from a homophobe…”
She also tweeted that although his words were wrong, the feelings behind them weren’t and that everyone needs to recognize his position as a father worried about protecting his family from the media.
On Saturday, Baldwin apologized to fans in a HuffPo post and stated that any slurs were unintentional. He also explained that he deals with 40 to 50 paparazzi daily who purposely attempt to provoke him to get a reaction.
Baldwin hinted that he would quit the entertainment industry if necessary to protect his family.
