alex collins arkansas signs with Arkansas, Mom None Too Happy About It

Alex Collins has made his decision to become a Razorback. The biggest defender that he’ll face prior to suiting up for the University of Arkansas is his own mother. The highly sought after high school running back signed his letter of intent to play with Arkansas yesterday, but his mother refused to sign the letter, and even tried to hide his paperwork.
Collins’ mother, Andrea McDonald, wanted her son to attend a Florida school that would be closer to home and would be easier for her to visit him or attend one of his games. She even hired the famed Cochran Law Firm to represent her in the dispute.
Despite his mother’s wishes, Alex was able to have his father sign the paperwork instead. Alex says that he has no ill will towards his mother for her actions.
Alex Collins was the best running back in this year’s recruiting class. He totaled 1,275 yards and 14 touchdowns in his senior season. He sees Arkansas as a place where he’ll be able to start sooner and best display his abilities.
