Florida Coach Marries Head-Turning Model Wife

Eddie Enfield, the head coach of the NCAA Champion Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, has recently married model Amanda Marcum.

The new Mrs. Marcum has enjoyed a very successful modeling career that had her featured on the cover of Vogue, Elle, and Maxim including the 2002 Swimsuit edition. She has also appeared in advertisements for Tommy Hilfiger, Armani, and Liz Claiborne.

She is a stunning beauty known for asymmetric facial features. She’s quite the catch for the gap-toothed and plain looking Enfield.

The couple has known each other for ten years. It turns out Marcum is a big Oklahoma basketball fan and got a ride from Enfield while on her way to watch her team compete in the second round of the 2003 NCAA tournament in Boston.

“We had lots of things in common — especially sports — and we talked and talked about that,” she told the Naples Daily News in April 2011, shortly after Enfield was hired away from Florida State by FGCU. “I thought he was really funny and very confident. And I’m a sucker for sports guys, obviously.”

Enfield was hired by Florida Gulf Coast University in 2011 and in two short years took the little known team to it’s first NCAA championship.
