Charlotte Dawson Found Dead At 47
Australian television personality Charlotte Dawson was found dead in her home in her Sydney apartment. Dawson was a judge on the popular Australian television reality show “Australia’s Next Top Model” for eight seasons.
She was 47 years old at the time of her death, and police did not find any suspicious circumstances following her death, nor do they suspect foul play.
Dawson, who is was born in New Zealand and later moved to Australia, had a history of depression that seemed to follow her throughout her life.
One of Dawson’s friends, film actor Russel Crowe, was physically moved when he heard the news about his friend’s passing. He tweeted, ““Charley D…Just don’t understand. There’s not enough kind souls as it is. Rest in peace.”
Not only was Dawson a very popular television personality, but she was also an actor that had a very successful career. It was this vocation that helped to land her a position as one of the judges on the widely popular reality show “Australia’s Next Top Model”.
Dawson’s co-star, and friend, Alex Perry stated that, “She was such a beautiful girl, she had so much energy and such a sense of humor but her battle with her mental illness just made it so difficult for her to really go in so many parts of her life.”
