Band Perry pay for funerals of family that died in house fire
Band Perry Helps Tragedy Stricken Family
The Band Perry has generously announced that they will help with the funeral costs for LaRea Watson, age 35, and her eight children who all died in a house fire that occurred last Thursday at their Greenville, Kentucky home. The children were between the ages of four to 15.
The only survivors were the father Chad J. Watson and one 11 year old child. Apparently the band heard about the terrible tragedy and decided to reach out to the family. A representative for the band has been talking to the family and told relatives that they will handle the funeral costs and the hotel bill for relatives that have been staying nearby the Vanderbilt University Medical Center since this is where the survivors are receiving treatment.
Pam Burden, a close friend of the family, stated that she is not sure why The Band Perry chose to reach out to their family, but they are very gracious and to do something for the family without any connection to the band is amazing. The Band Perry has not made any comment on why they decided to help the family out by paying for funeral costs. Their last public appearance was on Sunday at the Super Bowl XLVIII pregame show.
