Bieber: Being Human, or Being Booted out of USA?

The year 2014 has started with a bang for Justin Bieber, complete with controversy, legal troubles, and endless press coverage.

Most recent are reports that he has been offered and already rejected a plea bargain offered to him by a Florida state attorney for his two misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and resisting officers during his Miami arrest on January 24.

He was arrest while drag-racing his Lamborghini in a Miami neighborhood with R & B singer Khalil. In addition to driving under the influence and resisting officers, he was charged with using marijuana and driving without a license.

The plea bargain would require him to complete 40 hours of community service, attend a DUI panel and alcohol education course, be available for random drug testing at his own expense anywhere in the world.

Bieber, 20, has been addressing the controversy surrounding his behavior via his Twitter account. He considers himself an “easy target,” and says he is “still human.” His message to haters is to “meet hate with love.”

Due to recent events, a petition to boot Bieber back to his native Canada continues to increase with popularity. The number of signatures has made this the second most popular petition in history.
