Daughter of Late Crocodile Hunter Thrills Crowd at AACTA

Sydney, Australia – Last night was the 2014 Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) award program and the late Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi was on hand for the event. The 15-year-old teen, named after the Australian Aboriginal word for “young girl”, has started an acting career of her own with her starring role in the 2013 film “Return to Nim’s Island”.

Bindi’s father Irwin was the star of his own reality TV show called “The Crocodile Hunter” until his tragic death in 2006 from a jab through the heart by a sting ray. In an interview last year, Bindi shared her thoughts on her father. By her own description, Steve was an excellent father and truth be told, there is no higher praise that can be earned than from one’s own immediate family. Like her father, she shares a deep love of animals.

As for her clothing for the AACTA event, she showed up in a glam dress with white flowers set to black background. It is obvious she is no longer a little girl and is blossoming into a beautiful woman in her own right. Other guests attending the event was actor Sam Worthington and the everlasting beauty Cate Blanchet.
