Bubba Watson Debuts Hovercraft Golf Cart

Gerry Lester “Bubba” Watson, the reigning champion of the Master’s Tournament, debuted a hovercraft golf cart in a YouTube video recently posted.

The hovercraft, model BW1, is capable of traveling anywhere on the golf course without regard to sand or water traps. The golf cart doesn’t even cause damage to the greens. Watson explains in the video that the golf cart can literally go anywhere, over any terrain, including the wooded areas of the golf course. The hovercraft’s designer Chris Fitzgerald says that the actual footprint weight that the craft places on the ground is 1/33rd that of a traditional golf cart.

That is remarkable given the sheer size of the hovercraft is nearly twice the length of a traditional golf cart and is also much wider. Fitzgerald’s company Neoteric Hovercraft will be making the craft, but has not announced how much the vehicle will cost nor when it will be available.
