Chanelle Hayes Just Can’t Stop Eating

Chanelle Hayes has gone from a super-thin favorite in men’s magazines to a size fourteen over the years. She recently confessed that she is addicted to eating. The twenty-five year old started the year weighing about 9st and is now at 11st 7lb. Former Big Brother star, now cake shop owner, lost three stone last year, but has nearly gained it back again.

“I’ve never been happy with pictures of myself, even when I was a size 4. Five years ago, I was hooked on liposuction. I did whatever it took to be a size zero and that was the perfect method,” she confesses.

Chanelle explained: “Food can be an abused substance, especially carbs and processed foods. It’s addictive, especially when you’re depressed. Some people take drugs to get a high – it’s the same for me with food. I was getting a temporary high and then afterwards I’d feel worse.”

She recently opened up about her weight gain and also concerns about being a role model for her three year old son Blakeley.

Chanelle explained: “Because I was a full-time mum I didn’t go out of an evening and so I’d eat and eat. The thing with me is that I’d eat out of boredom. I sit there and eat, so I end up fatter than I want to be.”

She does not want to be overweight, but also does not want him to see her lose weight in an unhealthy way. She is now committed to healthy diet and exercise for her three year old son. Jack Tweed, her current boyfriend, has been very supportive and says he likes her “either way.”

Chanelle admits to binge eating purely out of boredom and habit, also saying, “Food can be an abused substance, especially carbs and processed foods. It’s addictive, especially when you’re depressed. Some people take drugs to get a high – it’s the same for me with food. I was getting a temporary high and then afterwards I’d feel worse.”
