Erin Andrews Zings David Pollack: Was Analyst Being Sexist?
On Saturday, ESPN College Gameday analyst David Pollack made a comment suggesting that he didn’t believe women were the best fit for college football committees in reference to the news that Condoleezza Rice (former U.S. Secretary of State) would now be on the College Football Playoff selection committee.
“I want people on this committee, guys, that can watch tape, yes, that have played football, that are around football, that can tell you different teams, on tape, not on paper,” Pollack said.
GameDay host Chris Fowler responded: “So no woman belongs on the committee, then?”
Replied Pollack: “You said that … I’ll say it, yeah, yeah.”
Erin Andrews of FOX Sports intensely disagreed with Pollack’s comments.
She ended the FOX College Saturday Show stating, “I’m a female, thanks for having me in college football.” She was referring to Pollack’s statement.
Grrrrr RT @LukeRussert: Of the world's 3.5 billion women there is not 1 who could serve on a college football selection comt. mmmkay.

Pollack then took it to Twitter to do some damage control and clarify what he meant by his statement.
He stated that it doesn’t matter if they’re male or female, as long as they are obsessed with college football.
Erin Andrews shot back by tweeting,
“Of the world’s 3.5 billion women there is not 1 who could serve on a college football selection comt. mmmkay.” Clearly, she was very offended by his suggestion that women weren’t qualified for the committee.
I want people on the committee that eat, sleep & breathe college football during the season. It has nothing to do with male or female

It is obvious David Pollack made a statement that turned some heads and Erin Andrews wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and stand up to his comments.
In 2008, Erin was the victim of a stalker, Michael David Barrett, who filmed her through peepholes in her hotel room. One of the videos found its way to the internet and Barrett was eventually prosecuted and sentenced to 30 months in prison.
