ESPN Reporter Michelle Beadle to Attend Prom With Paralyzed Teen Jack Jablonski

Guess who is going to the prom folks? It’s none other than ESPN reporter Michelle Beadle. A few years back she did a radio show on 105 out of Minnesota. During that interview she met high school hockey player Jack Jablonski. Jack had been paralyzed from the chest down as far back as 2011. Jack was involved in a game and was hit severely into the boards. Upon hitting the boards, his spinal cord was damaged badly. With his spinal cord being damaged caused his chest and everything down below to be paralyzed. This rendered him unable to handle nay sort of movement. Since his spinal cord accident his community has surrounded him with nothing but love and support.

When Michelle came to do the radio show, the question of the prom was immediately brought up. Jack asked her if she wanted to go with him. She immediately replied with a big “yes”. He replied with shock and happiness.

Michelle only had two rules for Jack. Number one, she told him that he had to leave the booze at the door, if not at home. The next thing that she stipulated was that she wanted to wear a simple “80’s” dress. Nothing to complex. Simple and classy all the way.

“I know that he’s a badass and someone I look up to immensely. I was shocked when he asked today. And I adore him for doing it live on the radio. I’m honoured to squeeze my 38 year old behind into a formal gown for a great night!
Going to the prom with ESPN’s reporter Michelle Beadle will on doubt make quite an impression on the other senior prom attendees.’
