Eva Longoria is ‘Maxim’ woman of the year

The lovely and talented Eva Longoria, 38, can add another trophy to the mantle place. Maxim magazine named her its woman of the year in the new January/February issue. Longoria told the men’s magazine she was especially honored because of her relationship with Maxim over the years as well as the length of her cover girl career.

“It’s especially awesome after how long it’s been since my first cover,” the former Desperate Housewives star told the magazine. “I’ve had a beautiful relationship with Maxim over all these years.”

During a wide-ranging interview with the magazine, Longoria said she was finishing a masters thesis in Latino studies at Cal State Northridge. Cooking helps her relax. Meanwhile, along with sexy pictures of her in a tank top, she said she was a homebody who did a lot more than merely look good. She said she had a split personality when it came to interests, so could be a high school cheerleader while also being a band geek and math nerd.

“One thing people are usually surprised about when they get to know me is how domestic I am,” she continued. “So when you see the sexy Maxim cover and then you put it against me in an apron with flour in my hair, it takes a moment to reconcile that image,” she joked.

Th former “Desperate Housewives” star has been married twice so far, the last time to NBA star Tony Parker. She’s dating Jose “Pepe” Antonio Baston, 45, these days. He’s president of Televisa, Latin America’s biggest media corporation. She said her journey to fame and love has been a long, but rewarding one. “Que rico,” she added, meaning the journey was really good.
