Eva Mendes has not been afraid to step out of her comfort zone in the past. She has modeled lingerie for Calvin Klein. She has appeared as a rock music video vixen for Aerosmith. Mendes even appeared nude in a perfume ad. Recently on national television, in an interview with David Letterman, she admitted to another daring experiment.

Mendes admitted that she tried on a tested a shock collar before she would attempt to use the collar on her pet dog, Hugo. Her reasoning was that she wanted to make sure what each levels setting felt like so that she wouldn’t harm Hugo too badly. She said that she had used the collar on her arm, instead of her neck. Mendes described the sensation as more than a tingle, and compared the device to a childhood joke buzzer.
Mendes doesn’t consider the use of the shock collar to be damaging to her dog. She is a noted animal lover and shot another nude ad for PETA for an anti-fur campaign.

Eva Mendes was born in Miami as a daughter to Cuban immigrants. She has been acting since her early 20’s but broke through with a big role as the girlfriend of Denzel Washington’s character in “Training Day” 2001. Mendes has been a bankable leading lady ever since. She has gone on to star in both comedy and action roles in films such as “All About the Benjamins”, “Ghost Rider”, “The Other Guys”, “2 Fast 2 Furious”, “One Upon a Time in Mexico” and “Hitch”.
