Girl stabbed for refuing prom date: Connecticut Prom Rejection Murder

Prom is something to be remembered by all who attend. A night you’ll never forget. It’s filled with fun and young romance, but not for Jonathan Law High school in Milford, Connecticut where Maren Sanchez was brutally stabbed in the hallway for rejecting someone as her date.

The sixteen year old suspect whose name has not yet been revealed, is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on monday for her death. Maren Sanchez was sixteen and highly involved in school. She was stabbed again and again at 7:15 and taken to Bridgeport Hospital where she died shortly after.

After the altercation the suspect was withheld by the school resource officer. Students were dismissed for the day and prom was rescheduled. School administrators and police officials did not confirm the motive but were aware of the disputes about the dance. The police don’t want to rule this out as the motive until they know for sure just what is going on at Jonathan Law High.

“Maren should be celebrating at her prom this evening with her friends and classmates,” he continued. “Instead, we are mourning her death.”

“Anything is possible. We’ll get to the bottom of how this happened, why this happened.”

The police and Dr. Elizabth Feser are working as hard as possible to find out just why this happened. Whether it be because of a prom rejection or hidden motives this case will not go unresolved with the suspect in custody.
