Australian Zoo Visitors Photobombed by Gorilla

The resident gorilla at Melbourne’s famous Zoo obviously has a good sense of humor. Motaba, who has been a resident at the Werribee Open Range Zoo since 1984, managed to photobomb two young sisters who were posing with peeled bananas in front of her enclosure recently.

According to People, While Ella and Bridget O’Brien smiled sweetly and said cheese for the photographer, the playful gorilla stood directly behind them with a wide-open mouth and tongue hanging out as though she were trying to reach out and grab one or both bananas.

On second look, it’s just possible that Motaba was opening her mouth in anticipation of snacking on two little red-haired girls for lunch. Luckily, there was a glass safety partition between the girls and the gorilla, although Motaba’s photobomb makes it appear as though she is right behind them, ready to pounce. The giggling girls have since posted their once in a lifetime photo online.
