Grammy Award Airdate Announced

CBS has moved up the date of the 2014 Grammy Awards to avoid competing with the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. The premier event for music awards will air this Sunday evening, January 26, at 8:00PM ET. The Grammy Awards are to music what the Oscars are to film: the most coveted award.

Rapper LL Cool J will be doing the honors as master of ceremony. Rapper Jay Z tops the list of nominations with 9 this year. Here are the nominations in the most prominent awards categories:

Record of the Year
• “Blurred Lines” – Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams
• “Locked Out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars
• “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk including Pharrell Williams
• “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons
• “Royals” by Lorde

Album of the Year
• The Blessed Unrest – Sara Bareilles
• Good Kid, M.A.A.D City – Kendrick Lamar
• The Heist – Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
