Flat screen tv recall: Great Balls of Fire

Updated

 on

The popular and affordable Coby 32″ Flat Screen TV have been recalled due to a very real risk of the unit catching fire and setting a home ablaze. The recalled units are for model TFTV3229 with serial numbers starting with LG and having the string ‘M07’ or ‘M10’ as the 9th, 10th, and 11th characters in the alphanumeric serial number. The serial number can be verified on both the front and back of the unit.

As per the recall, customers finding the unit in their homes should immediately disconnect the unit from a power source due to the risk of it catching fire. The defective units are to be returned to the retailer regardless of their return policy because the manufacturer, Coby USA, is out of business.
