Halle Berry remains a picture of eternal beauty at age 47. In addition, she looks years younger than her age would suggest. That said, the Academy Award winning actress has not had the same level of success in her movie roles that she has had on screen. Her high profile marriage to Atlanta Braves baseball star David Justice ended in divorce. The same held true to R&B singer Eric Benét which marriage likewise failed. The same held true to her multi-year relationship to Canadian model Gabriel Eugène Aubry. Now, reports are that her marriage to French actor Olivier Martinez is on the rocks after only several months.

However, Berry takes issue with the rumors with tacit denials of marital problems in an interview on Extra which airs on the US TV network. Berry said her husband is a “delicious” person. She expressed her joy over his latest success landing a spot on the popular ABC drama “Revenge”. She spoke about her secret to losing the baby weight and returning to her slim figure five months after she gave birth to her and Martinez’s first child named Maceo. She said the age old process of breast feeding got her to both drop the pregnancy weight and eat healthy in order to nourish her child.

Berry says she is learning how to manage both career and family now that she is the mother of two small children. In addition, she has a starring role in a new CBS drama called “Extant” where her character has to readjust to a normal life after being in outer space for a year. Casting her in the role may be timely as she will likely draw upon her actual struggles to balance the many competing priorities in her life. Let’s just hope her professions of marital bliss are more authentic than Gwyneth Paltrow’s turned out to be.
