McIntyre, Georgia – The Thompson family was spotted leaving the police station following a serious car accident that could have severely injured them. Thankfully, they were not serially injured. Five members of the family were spotted walking away from the police station.

“It happened so quick,” Mama June told PEOPLE on Tuesday. “Before I could say watch out – boom – he had already hit us.”

The family were together in their car driven by their father when a 19-year-old driver of a pickup truck ran a red light and slammed into their vehicle. As per the ubiquitous ears of the TMZ, the mother has back pain, the father has a bruise on the back of his head, Lauryn has chest bruises, and Honey Boo Boo has a headache.

“It was really scary for us, since it was the first time any of us had ever been in a wreck,” “Mama June” Shannon said in a statement sent to CNN by TLC, the channel that carries the series.

Mrs. Thompson said that they had purchased the Chevy Suburban six months ago and still owe money on it. Lauryn is said to be experiencing panic attacks from the accident. In a gesture of kindness, Mrs. Thompson expressed concern for the driver that hit their car.

It certainly has been a rough month for the family. Thieves “grinched off” with their home’s Christmas decorations ahead of the holidays. However, the decorations consisted mainly of 50 Christmas light bulbs. A photograph of the Chevy Suburban shows just why drivers must love that car: it withstood the impact quite well.
