A Koala Walks Into a bar…seriously though a koala really did walk into a bar!

A Melbourne hotel saw a cute Koala saunter in and make a beeline for the bar. Its journey from up the stairs and into the hotel in Hamilton was caught by close circuit cameras and it looked like the Koala was completely at ease.

The hotel staff took quite some time before they noticed that there might be a Koala in their midst. The Koala walked casually and unerringly from the lobby to the public areas and made its way to the bar through the paying hotel guests. However, it was then that the Koala’s little journey was over as before it could order a single drink, the hotel staff were making attempts to corner the marsupial. They tried to use signs but were no match for the Koala.

“As soon as he got to the bar door, it made a left and walked in like he wanted to have a beer,” bar manager C. Scott Fry said.

Soon, wildlife workers had to be called to take the Koala out of the Hamilton hotel and return it to the safety of the wild.

People are still confused as to how the Koala ended so far off its native woodlands, managed to get inside the hotel and reached the bar unnoticed and unhindered. The hotel’s furry guest was admittedly very cute but not exactly welcomed in the bar, but thankfully, no harm was done.
