Kris And Bruce Jenner split: Who Gets To Keep The Plastic Surgeon?
Although rumors of a separation circulated earlier this year during their 22nd wedding anniversary, Kris and Bruce Jenner repeatedly told the press that they are happily married.
This week, the couple informed E! News they separated in June with no intention of divorce. They stated that they’re much happier living apart and are still friends who put their family first.
“We ended a marriage,” explained Kris, “but that’s not the end of our friendship.”
“We are living separately and we are much happier this way,” they said in a statement. “But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
Another era: When the couple wed in 1991 prenups were not de rigueur
Critics believe the couple finally made this announcement because Kris’ younger sister, Karen Houghton, mentioned the separation during an interview with In Touch magazine last week. Karen also told In Touch that that Kris’ and Bruce’s relationship “goes back and forth” with frequent fighting and that Bruce has seen a lawyer.
Kris has two children, Kylie and Kendall, with Bruce. She also has four children, Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian, by her first husband the late Robert Kardashian. Bruce has two other children, Casey and Burt, with his first wife Chrystie Crownover; and two more, Brandon and Sam Brody, with his second wife Linda Thompson.
Kris is living at the couple’s Calabasas home and Bruce has moved to Malibu.
