While judging a dog show that benefited guide dogs, former MP Lembit Opik was bitten in the privates. There’s no “bones” about it, Lembit Opik was not too happy about the attack from the dachshund. He wasn’t expecting any kind of attack to happen to him in the first place.

Lembit Opik will have trouble walking from now on because of the attack, but “it is not going to stop him from judging dog shows again as he’s a real animal lover and accepts that it was just a one-off,” according to reporter Bryant, who is quoting from one of his alleged friends. (“Former MP Lembit Opik bitten in the privates by cheeky sausage dog,” 2013, para. 6-8).

Hopefully, Lembit Opik won’t have to endure another attack from any more mischievous dachshunds in the future. He’s been trying to do other things besides politics, according to Bryant, everything to wrestling to being a stand-up comedian. He’s currently a music manager, looking after the bands The Wholls and singer/songwriter Nikki Murray. (as cited in Bryant, 2013, para.11-12).
