Man Files Lawsuit Against McDonald’s for Racist Act of Denying Him More Napkins

Pacoima, California – Webster Lucas went to the local McDonald’s to grab some fast food chow. He ordered a meal featuring a Quarter Pounder Deluxe burger, but was only given a single napkin. Truth be told, he should have found several napkins with his order as that tends to be standard practice at the fast food giant. When he returned to the order counter to ask for more napkins, the manager refused to give him any additional ones. Lucas then claims the manager made a racial reference to him in a low voice which referred to him as “you people”. Lucas is an African-American.

Now, Lucas wants $1.5 million in damages from the company as compensation for the pain he has endured as a result of the incident. It should be noted that no one has confirmed any racial remark was made. Nor is it clear just how he “requested” additional napkins. A store manager would not normally have a problem obliging a simple request for additional napkins unless it was made in a belligerent manner. Prior to filing his lawsuit, he e-mailed McDonald’s customer service which offered him free hamburgers for his inconvenience. He denied the offer. It would appear that McDonald’s made a good faith offer to resolve the matter.
