man returns wallet with $4,800 in cash

A postal worker in New Jersey was surprised to find a wallet filled with $4,800 while walking his daily route recently.
Marcario Panuil, who has been a mail carrier for 20 years in Jersey City, New Jersey, didn’t hesitate to do the right thing and look for identification in the wallet in order to return the contents, all in $100 bills, to its owner. Panuil admitted that his first and only thought upon discovering the windfall was that he had to do everything possible to return it to whoever lost it.
The Rev. Rudolph Daniels, Sr. turned out to be the rightful owner of the lost wallet, filled with money he had recently withdrawn from his bank account to present to his children as belated Christmas gifts.
Daniels says that the wallet slipped out of his pocket while he was struggling to walk home in a recent snowstorm. He admits he didn’t have any hope that the wallet or his $4,800 would be discovered or returned and was shocked and speechless when a representative of the Postal Service called to alert him that one of their carriers found the item. Panuil refused any reward for his actions.
