McDonald’s Manager Keeps Robbing McDonald’s

Forty-two year old Felix Gonzalez-Becerra of Oakland, California was arrested for robbing a McDonald’s eatery and then confessed to robbing a different McDonald’s just a week earlier. The first robbery was his own McDonald’s store where he works as manager. He was taken to the San Mateo County Jail after the second robbery, charged with both robbery and kidnapping.

The first incident occurred on August 28 at the Pleasanton McDonald’s where he served as the store’s manager. Gonzalez-Bacerra wore a mask, pulled up to the drive-thru and then climbed through the drive-thru window. He forced all of his employees and co-workers into the freezer at gunpoint and then attempted to make off with an unspecified amount of the restaurant’s cash.

The second incident was much the same as the first, but took place at the San Mateo McDonald’s on September 2. He used a replica handgun in both robberies and at the San Mateo restaurant he ordered one of the employees to open the safe. He took the money and then forced everyone into the freezer again afterward. He was arrested shortly after fleeing the scene.

Gonzalez-Bacerra, though confessing to the first crime at the time of his arrest for the second, plead guilty to both later. Police found the replica gun and cash in his car.
