Simpson’s Show Voice Actress Suffered Hidden Malady Prior to Death

Veteran actress Marcia Wallace, the voice actress for the character “Edna Krabappel” on the hit sitcom “The Simpsons”, passed away on October 25 due to breast cancer.

Wallace is survived by her son adopted son Michael Hawley. Hawley related some background information on this mother which underscores the wonderful nature of her character. Wallace wasn’t only dealing with the effects of breast cancer which had returned after nearly three decades of remission, but she also was recovering from breaking her back which occurred when she fell over her cat.

Hawley says his mother was in constant pain following the back injury coupled with the cancer. He personally doesn’t believe it was merely the cancer which claimed his mother’s life, but rather her body simply unable to deal with a series of physical problems.

He gave the account of his mother in an interview with the National Enquirer and explained that his mother tried to be good natured about things right up until the end. She believed that if a person is able to go through life with love and joy, they will be able to reach the end of their journey leaving the world better off. Hawley expressed his believe that his mother did just that.
