Maria Sharapova Engagement Rumors Continue To Swirl

Russian professional tennis player Maria Sharapova was spotted earlier this month with a rather huge, flashy ring on her engagement finger. There were already rumors circulating that she was engaged to her boyfriend, fellow tennis player from Bulgaria Grigor Dimitrov. The ring did not look like any sort of traditional engagement ring, but it did not help to silence the rumors.Sharapova and Dimitrov have been basically inseparable since they began dating a year ago. They are often seen cheering one another on during tennis matches. Sharapova appeared on Larry King this week to put the rumors to rest and address a few other things. She vehemently denied an engagement and said to Larry King, “No, I’m not getting married. Not that I know of!”

Previously engaged to the Slovenian basketball player Sasha Vujacic, Sharapova does not appear interested in rushing into more serious relationship territory just yet. She began dating Dimitrov very shortly after calling off the engagement to Vujacic. She also recently split from her coach Jimmy Connors and also expressed how it is hard to make friends with people you have to compete against regularly. She did not attend this year’s US Open due to a shoulder injury.
