Miley Performs with Giant, Floating Cat at AMAs

Compared to Miley Cyrus’ other award show performances in the last few months, her performance at this year’s American Music Awards was rather tame. Last night Miley wrapped up the evening at the Nokia Theater and proved once again that she is full of surprises – not all of them are provocative dances with foam fingers and lighting up what looks like a marijuana joint on stage. She performed her hit single “Wrecking Ball” while a fascinating cat video played in the background behind her.

The pop star did not even twerk once and her outfit for the performance was not particularly risqué.
She wore high-waisted briefs and a matching crop top covered with images of cat heads. Her costume choice was odd at most, but matched the lip-syncing cat behind her for a thematically rounded performance.

Miley has spoken before about her fondness for watching cat videos on YouTube. Her giant, floating cat at the AMAs was hanging out in space and singing along with her. Stars were flying by and planets were also hovering in the scene. P
