Vampire Diaries Star Engaged

Siberian born actress Olga Fonda announced her recent engagement to Liam Waite with whom she has enjoyed a lengthy relationship. Fonda, who joined the cast of “Vampire Diaries” in season 5 as the character “Nadia Petrova”, explained to E! just how Waite proposed to hear on New Year’s Eve.

Fonda, who appeared to Wednesday night’s People’s Choice Awards wearing her new engagement ring, said Waite proposed to her just as the clock struck midnight bringing in the new year amid all the fireworks lighting up the sky. The engagement brings to a peak a relationship that she and Waite have nurtured for 2.5 years.

Liam Waite is a successful business man in the hotel industry at age 42. Years earlier, he too was a professional actor like his fiancé. For the People’s Choice Awards, Fonda arrived in a grey sequined dress featuring black leather straps from her waist up through her back. The dress was complementary to her very slender frame.

Fonda had good reason to cheer her fellow cast members Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder as they took home the award for “Favourite On Screen Chemistry”. The couple had been dating in real life, but broke up last year.
